STELLENBOSCH Craft Drinks Festival returns to the annual events calendar on 7 October 2023 in the scenic Jan Marais Nature Reserve. Gates open at 11am and it promises to be a day filled with the best in craft beer, distilled beverages (non-alcoholic options are available), artisanal food options and live music to keep your foot tapping and your head bopping until 7pm, just in time to see the sun set over the gorgeous Stellenbosch mountains.
The SCDF in its latest format, aims to offer an intimate outdoor experience of fine locally crafted beverages (spirits, liqueurs, ciders, beer and more) paired with quality street food. In the beautiful natural surroundings of the centrally located Jan Marais Nature Reserve, visitors are encouraged to take a stroll through the park on route to the festival area. Narrated by the soothing sounds of talented local musicians, patrons can look forward to classic pop/rock covers, original Afrikaans compositions, reggae, and smooth jazz. Vendors will encourage you to enjoy yourself with the offering of good products, product samples, fun games and competitions with some crafty prizes.
The event is family friendly and children under 12 enter for free. There will be an inflatable games area and play park available for the younger crowd. So bring your family, fur babies, friends, umbrellas, and sun hats for a chilled day in the winelands. The annual beer glasses are a favourite for collectors and available as part of your entry fee or if you opt to not include it, you are welcome to bring your favourite glass from home.
Live music by The Gingers, Ignite ZA, Van Der Aven, Yndian Mynah and more to be confirmed.
