STEENBERG Farm’s highlight of its Women’s Month festivities is the Creator’s Dinner on August 30th at 6.30pm, in Bistro1682’s main dining area.
Hosted by executive chef Kerry Kilpin and Steenberg’s cellar master Elunda Basson, the intimate food and wine pairing, at R750 per person, assures an opulent symphony of the senses. Guests will indulge in a menu featuring canapés and a three-course dinner, with Kerry masterfully presenting the plating of each course, while Elunda shares captivating insights into the perfectly paired Steenberg wines.
As part of the celebration of creativity with purpose, the Creator’s Dinner will highlight the presence of three celebrated female creators. These notable figures include the mother-daughter design duo, Betina Swart and Kelly Gibberd (pictured), who lead the fashion design studio MeandB, as well as the esteemed milliner Crystal Birch of The Hat Factory. These accomplished artisans will unveil the narrative threads of their inspiring entrepreneurial journeys, which have reverberated across Cape Town and beyond. Furthermore, they will showcase a selection of their most cherished exclusive creations, symbolising the strength, resilience, and extraordinary contributions of women within the realm of creativity.
The funds raised through the Creator’s Dinner will serve to further empower Steenberg’s selected beneficiary for the month, Taking Care of Business (TCB). A contribution of R50 per ticket will be allocated to this cause. The event provides a distinctive opportunity to create a significant, positive influence in the lives of others.
