IN case you missed it, M-Net (DStv Channel 101) has revamped its weeknight 10pm slot with the addition of HBO’s highly acclaimed and award-winning series Succession (from Monday 6 November, don’t worry, it’s on Catch Up and DStv Stream). All four seasons will be broadcast with a new episode releasing every weekday evening at 10pm.
Succession took the world by storm and garnered an impressive 121 awards and 263 nominations including at the BAFTAs, Primetime Emmys, Golden Globes and many more – solidifying its place as one of the most talked-about series in recent years. It follows the lives of the Roy family, a wealthy and powerful media dynasty, as they navigate the cutthroat world of business, family dynamics, and personal ambition. With its compelling plot twists and stellar ensemble cast, Succession became a must-watch for television enthusiasts around the globe.
“There’s no question that Succession, at its root, is a family story,” notes director and executive producer Adam McKay. “There’s also a tragic side to it, where you see how massive wealth and power distorts and twists and wounds this family.” Executive producer Frank Rich adds, “I think it is the specificity of the way the Succession characters are drawn, with wry humor and heart, and the calibre of this ensemble cast, that make the Roy’s stand out in the crowded field of family drama.”
With the stripping of Succession seasons one to four from Mondays to Fridays at 10pm, viewers will have the opportunity to fully immerse themselves in the addictive series. Whether you’re a fan of intense family dramas or intricate power struggles, Succession is guaranteed to entertain.
“Our strategy to place award-winning evergreen series at 10pm is driven by our commitment to provide viewers with the very best international content that stands the test of time. The 10pm slot will become home to a curated selection of global hit shows, starting with Succession,” said Waldimar Pelser, Director for Premium Channels.
Succession will be available on DStv Premium on M-Net (Channel 101) from Monday, 6 November 2023 and will broadcast Mondays to Fridays at 10pm, as well as live-streamed on DStv Stream, and is also available on DStv Catch Up after broadcast.
