FAT bastard, the well-loved, delicious, full-bodied range of wines, has launched the FAT bastard Golden Reserve 2017 Bordeaux-style red blend.
The Cabernet Sauvignon / Merlot blend was made from specially selected grapes with the aim of producing ripe-flavoured and silky textured wine. All fruit was gently pressed to retain fruit aromas and character. The wine was aged in small oak barrels to add greater weight and complexity.
The wine has an intense, dark ruby colour. Luxurious aromas and flavours of dark berry fruit and plum entice the senses. The palate of the wine is rich and full, with a silky and lasting finish. Pair it with roast lamb, oxtail or rib-eye steak, add some good quality dark chocolate to present as a gift to someone special.
