DURBANVILLE HILLS has launched an engaging self-guided visitor centre that offers a captivating journey into the world of winemaking, from the vineyard to the bottle.

Within the maturation cellar, guests are treated to a behind-the-scenes look at the winemaking process, gaining a deeper understanding of the craftsmanship and dedication that goes into creating award-winning wines.

The visitor centre features an interactive map that highlights the unique contours of area, the close proximity to the ocean, and the location and information on member farms. This insight provides visitors with a comprehensive view of the cool climate terroir and the distinctive features of the area. Different displays share a wealth of information about the various wine ranges, a step-by-step guide to the red and white winemaking processes and maturation, and valuable tips on how to properly store your wines at home.

Within a central pod, virtual reality headsets transport visitors into the world of the flagship Tangram range and the Collectors Reserve range, each bottle named and visually representing one of Cape Town’s iconic landmarks. A dedicated section of the centre reflects Durbanville Hills’ unwavering commitment to sustainability and the community and environmental support projects.

The visitor centre welcomes guests daily without the need for prior bookings. After their immersive journey, guests can choose to savour innovative tastings, dine at the internationally acclaimed Tangram Restaurant, or enjoy a relaxed meal at the Olive Grove, making their visit to Durbanville Hills a complete sensory experience.

The visitor centre and tasting room are open on the following days:

  • Mondays: 12pm-6pm
  • Tuesdays to Fridays: 10am to 6pm
  • Saturdays: 10am to 5pm
  • Sundays: 11am to 5pm
  • Public Holidays: 10am to 5pm
