Nik Rabinowitz hit Dry White returns to Baxter for festive season

FOLLOWING its sold-out run earlier in 2018, stand up comic Nik Rabinowitz returns to the Baxter Concert Hall with his hilarious new show Dry White, from December 18 till January 12.

Having recovered from his early-onset midlife crisis just in time for Cape Town to almost become the world’s first city to run out of water, Nik decided to explore the recent water crisis for his new show, mostly because everyone thought the drought was going to last forever, which, in case you missed it, it didn’t #SpoilerAlert.

Now Mother Nature has rained on his parade, Nik will be forced to discuss other stuff too, like love, marriage, infidelity, transphobia, staying woke post forty, and whether the land should be given back. Just kidding, what white person wants to discuss that?!

A former Stand Up Of The Year winner, Nik has over the last 17 years become one of the country’s most established comics. He’s toured internationally, including Holland, Australia, Canada, the USA and the UK, where among other things he appeared at The Royal Albert Hall and on BBC 2’s Mock The Week. Having spent eight years presenting Cape Talk/702’s The Week That Wasn’t and voicing numerous characters for the International Emmy-nominated ZANews, Dry White is Nik’s 12th one-man show.

Directed by Brent Palmer, performances of Dry White are Tuesdays to Saturdays at 8.30pm (except December 25 and January 1). A New Year’s Eve show takes place at 10pm on December 31. Dry White has an age restriction of 14. Tickets from R150, R255 on NYE, book through Webtickets at or selected Pick n Pay stores.
