Time Out Market Cape Town announces final three vendors

AHEAD of the opening on Friday 17 November 2023 at 11am at the V&A Waterfront, Time Out Market Cape Town has announced the final three concepts joining its curated line-up of top home-grown talents. 

Time Out Market is a food and cultural market that brings the best of the city together under one roof – a mix of the best chefs, drinks and cultural experiences. The first to open on the African continent, Time Out Market Cape Town will be home to the city’s award-winning chefs, much loved local gems and up-and-coming talents to offer a taste of Cape Town’s diverse and exciting food scene – all within a vibrant communal space 

The foodie destination will offer 13 kitchens, three bars plus a dedicated wine bar as well as a cultural experience, and has revealed the three final additions to its all star culinary line-up:

  • Chef Giorgio Nava expands his portfolio launching CARNE
  • Celebrity chef and television presenter Siba Mtongana brings The Siba Deli
  • NØSH CAFÉ will pour three of South Africa’s best loved and best known coffee brands in the ultimate caffeine lovers’ experience

The full line-up includes:

  • Barakat: Chefs Anwar Abdullatief and Yolani Abrahams give a fresh take on traditional Cape Malay cuisine
  • CARNE: Chef Giorgio Nava will let the meat do the talking in the true Italian minimalist tradition
  • De Vrije Burger: Restaurateur and chef Bertus Basson, offers his iconic De Vrije Burger at the Market
  • How Bao Now: Chef duo Matt Van Den Berg and Carla Schulze bring How Bao Now and their Asian-inspired high-end street food
  • Kapoochka: Chef Hitesh Panchal serves Indian street food with a contemporary twist
  • MLILO: Chef Vusi Ndlovu created a new concept for the Market with dishes that celebrate African shisanyama heritage
  • NØSH CAFÉ: Pouring three of South Africa’s best-loved coffee brands – Origin, Truth and Tribe – as part of a one-stop-caffeine-shop
  • Ramenhead: The team behind The World’s 50 Best nominated restaurant, FYN, brings Ramenhead to the market
  • Sushiya: Chefs Peter Tempelhoff – together with Shin Takagi of two-star Michelin restaurant Zeniya in Kanazawa, Japan – will offer authentic contemporary Japanese sushi
  • The Melting Pot: Cape Town’s best-kept secret seafood experience provided by chef John van Zyl
  • The Siba Deli: A a modern South African deli by Siba Mtongana
  • Unframed Ice Cream: Founded by Yann Rey, Unframed Ice Cream excites foodies with their twist on classic ice cream flavours
  • YARD: YARD – by Eugene Smith – serves authentically inspired pizza from Pizza Warehouse.
  • Culture Wine Bar: Restaurateur and chef Matt Manning offers a curated selection of South Africa’s fine wine through Culture Wine Bar
