JOIN Steenberg’s #WomanInspired initiative dedicated to women empowerment for the month of August by participating in a series of inspiring outdoor #ConfidenceInspired self care classes.

By investing in yourself, you can grow, evolve and reach your infinite potential. Women in need of some breathing space are invited to join one or more of three carefully considered morning #ConfidenceInspired Classes on the Manor House lawns at Steenberg Hotel & Spa.

The classes begin with a one-hour Pilates class on Thursday, August 12, from 9.30am when instructor Anthea Fredericks will help you build a strong foundation by working your inner core, regardless of your fitness level.

Learn how to walk with courage by attending Mark Delafield’s two-hour self-defence workshop from 10.30am to 12.30pm on Wednesday, August 18. You may want to bring a friend to join you for Covid-19 friendly partner work.

A final one-hour yoga class to stretch and strengthen body and mind is planned on Wednesday, August 25, from 9.30am. All fitness levels are welcome as instructor Thelma Hartnady will be guiding you through your yoga poses.

The ticket price per class of R150 includes a refreshing smoothie at Tryn, Steenberg’s stylish signature restaurant. To book email [email protected]

The #WomenInspired programme, dedicated to the magnificence of women by supporting empowerment and entrepreneurship, encompasses every aspect of Steenberg Farm – the winery, restaurants, and hotel & spa. Inspired by a proud legacy of formidable women, the present-day, women-led Steenberg management team is paying it forward in support of The Clothing Bank, an NPO empowering unemployed women to become self-employed business owners. By supporting and nurturing women from disadvantaged backgrounds to start their own sustainable businesses, The Clothing Bank helps to develop the skills and confidence needed to chart a path out of poverty and become financially and socially independent.

During August, Steenberg is donating a portion of selected wine sales and  restaurant orders in support of The Clothing Bank. Guests can make a significant contribution by purchasing and ordering dedicated #EmpowermentInspired items. For every Steenberg Flagship wine purchased, R10 will go towards the NPO’s upliftment work, while orders of selected food items at Bistro Sixteen82 and Tryn Restaurant will contribute between R10 and R20.

Steenberg’s support of business startups culminates with a vibrant #WomenInspired Market for female entrepreneurs on the lawns of the Steenberg Manor House from 10am to 6pm on Friday, August 27. Thirty local women-led businesses have been invited to sell their innovative creations including clothing, jewellery, stationery, home décor and accessories. Spend the day browsing and lazing on the lawn with friends while tucking into delicious Tryn eats and sipping fine Steenberg wine.
