THE Blend Coffee Shop│Deli│Wine Boutique will host an intimate afternoon on Saturday, July 1 with beautiful food and amazing local wines in the back garden of 46 Voortrekkker Road, McGregor. The theme for this cosy winter event is Red & Sweet Wine 2023. Tickets for the festival are available online at Quicket and the event will run from 2pm to 6pm.

“We are delighted to bring the best of Cape’s red and sweet wine producers together and cannot wait to recreate the magic of the inaugural Bubbly Festival we held at the end of March,” says Benita Gouws, owner of The Blend,  pictured above. “We will also have a great selection of local fare available on the day and you can even buy food vouchers online for this event – no queues! We will have beef bourguignon, seafood gumbo, the best of Cape Town’s El Churros, Glühwein and so much more to accompany the great selection of wines on show…we may even have a surprise or two up our sleeve for the tasters!”

Tickets will include tasting tickets as well as a festival glass you can take home. Designated drivers do not have to feel left out; you’re covered with your own glass and non-alcoholic beverages included.

Popular band The Misty Cliffs (above) will be playing during the festivities. The trio features Nick Turner (guitar/vocals), Nick Catto (bass/vocals) and Matt Catto (drums/percussion/vocals).

Benita and her team (above) at The Blend have created a space where people can enjoy a good cup of coffee, freshly baked goods, honest food and enjoy hand selected wines. The deli is stocked with unique products, with a lovely range of Asian as well as Italian staples. It strives to be a one-stop-shop for locals and visitors alike.

  • The Blend would like to thank Chris Steytler from Meridian Realty for sponsoring the media campaign for the Red & Sweet Wine Fest 2023.
