Galileo Open Air Cinema is back with summer movie magic

THE team behind Cape Town’s pioneer outdoor cinema has reinvented and reimagined its cinematic offering to entertain the Mother City in 2020, presenting three concepts for its ninth consecutive season, namely The Galileo Royale, The Galileo Picnic and The Galileo Drive In.

The Galileo Royale screenings take place every Wednesday, at exquisite venues including Suikerbossie in Hout Bay, Casa Labia in Muizenberg, Steenberg in Tokai and Radisson Blu Hotel Waterfront in Granger Bay.

For this VIP movie experience, seats and side tables will be laid out on the lawns for guests to pick their spot, where they will be treated to a complimentary appetiser and welcome drink to toast a gorgeous sunset and a magical evening. A live music performance will set the tone and serenade movie-goers as they peruse the menu for a bite to eat. Complimentary popcorn will accompany guests as they get ready to watch their favourite stars on the big outdoor screen.

This affair will cater for a limited number of guests for each screening, so pre-booking is essential. Tickets are R290 per person.
