VAN RYN’S new Sundown Fridays and Trivia Nights include all of life’s greatest pleasures – live music, award-winning brandy, cocktails, platters and great company.
The laid-back Friday Sundowner vibe, from 5pm till 8pm on the 26th, is set in the gardens of the beautiful, atmospheric Provencal-styled distillery, built in 1905 using rocks from the Eerste River. Entrance is free but you can pre-book a cheese and charcuterie platter for two at R275 which includes two complimentary cocktails by visiting Webtickets. Flex your intellectual abilities at Trivia Nights on 25 November and 16 December, 6pm till 9pm. Band together with your best friends who collectively know a little bit about everything, and join in the banter and engaging atmosphere. Hosted by Quiz Night SA, the dazzling MC, former Springbok winger Egon Seconds, will be moderate two rounds of general questions followed by themed-specific sets, with exciting prizes for the winning team.
The cost of R250 per couple include a Van Ryn’s brandy tasting and a cheese and charcuterie platter to share. Bookings at Webtickets.
The Van Ryn’s distillery is in the heart of the Vlottenburg Valley (just outside Stellenbosch), on the banks of the Eerste River, 40-minutes’ drive from Cape Town. To visit the distillery for tastings outside of the special event dates, do so on Tuesdays to Sundays from 10am to 5pm.
