Greenfish – delivering the freshest fish in Cape Town to your door

by Press Release 12 May 2020
by Press Release 12 May 2020

GREENFISH is a premium fish and seafood supplier to the Cape Town restaurant industry, specialising in local fresh fish and sashimi.

A Cape Town-based family-run fishing business that has been servicing the restaurant, hospitality and wholesale industry with high quality, seasonal and locally sourced fish and seafood products for almost two decades, Greenfish is now offering a wide selection of quality sustainable fresh seafood delivered directly to your doorstep.

Growing up as artisanal handline and tuna pole fisherman, brothers Ryan and Andrew Nienaber have close ties to the ocean, and they have more than 60 years’ worth of combined fishing under their belts. “We simply love all things fish!” they say.

Greenfish is proud to be a part of the global solution to overfishing by encouraging more sustainable seafood choices from responsibly managed legal sources that are environmentally sound. They are committed to ensuring all of the seafood offered will be sourced from legal fishing operations and traceable back to its point of origin; on the website you’ll see where the fish was caught.

The COVID-19 lockdown kick-started an ambition to bring fresh fish directly from the ocean to anybody’s home in less than 24 hours, and ordering is simple:

  1. Visit https://greenfish.co.za/ and choose from the daily offerings.
  2. Orders placed and paid for by 11am will reach you the same day.
  3. One of the team members will deliver your order to you.
During the lockdown they will knock on your door then step backwards but make sure you get your box.
  4. Now its time to cook and enjoy!
