Win tickets to Proe Paarl this Saturday


PAARL WINE ROUTE is celebrating a spectacularly successful year with a showcase of the best wine in the region during Proe Paarl on Saturday December 7, at the Grande Roche hotel.

Paarl wineries have received more than 300 awards during the past year, ranging from silver to double gold medals at globally recognized challenges and guides. Prestigious competitions where Paarl wines delivered stand-out performances include the Michelangelo International Wine and Spirits Awards, the International Wine & Spirit Competition, the Veritas Awards, the Old Mutual Trophy Wine Show and Platter’s Wine Guide.

The Proe Paarl showcase will allow wine enthusiasts the opportunity to taste many of these award-winning wines in one venue. The newly renovated Grande Roche hotel will play host to this extravaganza and guests will be able to sample an amazing selection of wines paired with delicious canapés provided by Pete Goffe-Wood and his team of at Viande restaurant.

Spend a day in the lap of luxury against the backdrop of the magnificent Paarl mountains and lush vineyards. Proe Paarl will be open from 11am till 5pm and visitors will be able to interact with wine producers and learn the stories behind these wines that are such an essential part of Paarl.

The line-up of participating wineries ranges from large commercial cellars to historical family-owned farms and boutique vineyards. Enjoy tasting wines from Avondale Wines, Boland Cellar, Druk my Niet Wine Estate, Eenzaamheid Wines, Landskroon Wines, Mellasat Vineyards, Nederburg, Painted Wolf Wines, Perdeberg Wines, Rhebokskloof Wine Estate, Ridgeback Wines and Under Oaks.

Tickets are available online for R400 per person and will also be sold at the door for R450 per person. This includes a complimentary wine glass, a tasting of all the wines showcased and a selection of gourmet canapés. Book now to avoid disappointment as tickets are limited to 200. Strictly no under 18s allowed.
