STELLENBOSCH Wine Routes is celebrating 55 years of championing South African wine tourism this year, and the occasion will be marked by Wine Town Stellenbosch – a nine-day celebration of exceptional wine, food and experiences taking place from 25 July to 2 August.
The programme culminates in the Stellenbosch Wine Festival, at the historic Stellenbosch Town Hall on Friday, 31 July, and Saturday, 1 August. More than 60 producers will pour over 200 wines, offering visitors the opportunity to experience the diversity of South Africa’s premier wine region under one roof.
Each festival ticket includes 20 tasting tokens together with a generous harvest table and signature small plates and desserts created by acclaimed chefs Bertus Basson and Adele Grewar. Live music and complimentary water stations complete an experience designed to showcase not only Stellenbosch’s wines, but the lifestyle, hospitality and culinary excellence for which the region is renowned.
Beyond the festival itself, Wine Town Stellenbosch features a packed programme of curated wine tastings, cellar experiences, winemaker dinners, workshops, outdoor activities and accommodation specials across the region, giving visitors plenty of reasons to extend their stay.
