Taking its name from the time of year when the whales come to Walker Bay to calve, Kalfiefees is an inclusive festival that supports various community projects in the Overstrand. In doing so, the festival cultivates a love of art from which future artists and audiences develop. For more details on this year’s festival programme and community projects, click here.

Apart from the festival’s multifaceted offering of theatre, music, art, and lifestyle, the Overstrand offers an exceptional array of restaurants and wine farms as well as outdoor activities such as walking tours on the coast. Who knows, a whale or two might even surprise you! Visit Hermanus Tourism’s website for more information and to book accommodation.
