THE Marine Hotel has introduced a Wellness Escape, inviting guests to the coastal town of Hermanus to relax, rejuvenate and breathe in the champagne air. After a long summer and a busy festive season, the package provides the opportunity to kick back and start a wellness journey, enjoying the cooler weather while cocooned in the luxurious comfort of The Marine’s five-star facilities.
The Wellness Escape at includes a complimentary fresh green juice on arrival, as well as breakfast and three-course dinner (excluding beverages). Served on the terrace or in The Pavilion restaurant, a wide selection of culinary options are available, including vegetarian dishes such as plum tomato tartare of heirloom tomatoes with basil mousse; or chilled gazpacho with root vegetable crisps. In addition to the regular menu, a vegan small plates menu presents light and tasty options that include tandoori cauliflower steak with a pineapple lentil curry, cumin mushy peas, coriander and coconut chutney; carrot and mung bean salad in a rice paper roll, with sprouts, citrus, radishes, basil, chilli, avocado and a Vietnamese dressing; or shiitake risotto with edamame beans, nutritional yeast, baby spinach and broccoli.
Hotel facilities include a heated outdoor swimming pool and a new gymnasium, as well as the Carchele Health & Beauty Spa. Included in the Wellness Escape package is a 45-minute back, neck and shoulders Swedish massage, as well as a 60-minute body wrap spa treatment that includes exfoliation, a scalp massage and a Vichy shower in the DermaLife capsule. A choice is offered between detoxifying clay; firming, soothing and hydrating gel; or an energising and revitalising body wrap.
The overnight package is R8 000 per night for two people sharing, including breakfast, dinner and two spa treatments per person. Valid between 1 April and 30 September 2024, Ts&Cs apply.
