IN honour of International Cat Day which is observed on August 8, Cat Heaven in Somerset West invites cat lovers to spend the day on Friday, August 9 (public holiday), with 20 beautiful cats and celebrate their rescue from the shelter.
As South Africa’s first rescue cat cafe, Cat Heaven’s mission is to bring awareness to abandoned and abused cats/animals, to encourage the public to rather adopt than shop. Cats are not toys. They have a heart, a soul and feel pain and joy as we humans do. During July, visitors can bring a picture of their own cat and it will be displayed in the indoor cafe. In turn you will receive a number for the lucky draw on August 9, 2019. First prize is a voucher to the value of R600 for a meal for two at Henri’s Restaurant in Somerset West; second and third prizes are gifts to the value of R200 for your lucky cat. Winners must be present at the time of the draw.
Please note no children under the age of 10 are allowed inside the rescue café. Coffee, tea, soft drinks, cakes, cookies, biltong, popcorn and Pedal Pops will be on sale.
