Botanik Social House launches First Thursday winter night markets

STEP into a forestry of fashion, food and festivities at the Botanik Social House night markets every First Thursday through winter 2019. The monthly markets will take place on July 4, August 1 and September 5, and will host a collection of Cape Town and South Africa’s most sought-after trending retail vendors.

Explore more than 34 stalls offering sustainable and local fashion, art, beauty and one-of-a-kind décor and jewellery pieces. Fashion apparel vendors include Afrikwinz Den, Awake, Beach Cult, Glam Inc, Innocent Devotion, Juice by Lucy, Koi Koi, Julz Swim, Mood Studios, NVME, Original Cape Town (OGCT), Sama Sama, Flock It, Hemp Love, Gabrielle Swimwear, Alessia Boutique and Love Deluxe.

For those on the lookout for statement jewellery pieces can keep an eye open for accessory brands Mind Your Head, Lush & Dawn, Awaken, Meraki Jewellery, Kilo, Le Ru, Lorne and SOUL. Lifestyle vendors include a variety of art pieces, décor items and beautiful dog baskets by You & Lou, Crystal Stories, Me & Norman, Kare Bags, Wild Thorn, Brushes by West and Day Feels.

The Kwéyòl – Caribbean word for Creole – restaurant/bar come nightclub boasts an up-beat Afro-Caribbean themed space, its eccentricity seeded through the illustrious greenery, décor and refurbishings with bold splashes of bright colour. Aauthentic street-food style cuisine will be available, and includes vegetable soup, chicken/beef/chickpea curry with  basmati rice, grilled chicken wings, fish and chips, and rum and raisin ice cream (R50 to R100 per dish)

Doors open at 6pm. Entrance is free, and each guest will receive a complimentary Belvedere cocktail upon arrival (before 7pm).
