Introducing Robertson Winery’s single serve cans

by Press Release 18 Jun 2020
by Press Release 18 Jun 2020

ROBERTSON WINERY launched its single serve 200ml wines in a can just before lockdown, offering the perfect one-glass serving, anytime and anywhere.

The premium quality wines are convenient and in environmentally friendly packaging. Stylishly presented, you can choose between Sauvignon Blanc 2019 – fresh and dry with generous notes of green apples and melons; or Merlot 2019 – rich and smooth with ripe punchy plum and sweet black cherry flavours and a velvet finish.

The wines are identical to Robertson Winery’s bottled Sauvignon Blanc and Merlot. The cans provide an excellent oxygen and light barrier, protecting the wine, keeping it fresh, and retaining the aromas and flavours. There’s no metallic taste transfer from the can, thanks to a lining that stops the wine’s acidity from interacting with the metal.

Quick and easy to chill, the single serves are a companion for poolside sipping, picnics, braais, parties, hiking, camping, outdoor concerts and other alfresco situations where no glass is allowed (and when such activities are permitted again). There’s no need to lug along a heavy bottle or a corkscrew; the can is pre-portioned, light and convenient to pack and carry, unbreakable and an excellent choice for those who want a glass of wine without committing to a bottle.

The eco-friendly lightweight packaging significantly reduces the carbon footprint, and is 100% recyclable, more so than glass, and can be recycled over and over again.

Shop online and your wines will be delivered to your door. Get 10% off all orders placed before June 30, 2020, with free delivery on orders over R 1500. For more information, email info@robertsonwinery.co.za, follow on Facebook and Twitter and Instagram @RobertsonWinery.
