Winter taste sensations at the Terra del Capo antipasto bar

THE Terra del Capo antipasto bar at Anthonij Rupert Wyne in Franschhoek has launched its 2017 winter menu, which features an assortment of delectable dishes. Included in the lineup are a handful of new dishes as well as some signature favourites.

Artichoke panna cotta with pickled mushroom

Inspired by regional produce from the winelands visitors can choose from a selection of delicious hot and cold Antipasti dishes, perfectly paired with wines from the Protea, L’Ormarins and Terra del Capo ranges.

Cold selection choices include smoked burrata with roasted carrots, pickled beetroot, candied hazelnuts and nasturtium leaves; artichoke panna cotta served with pickled mushrooms, herbs and croutons; or cured, estate-raised Angus beef served with wild rocket, fermented black garlic and squid ink aioli, pine nuts and Parmesan.

The hot dishes include the popular crunchy zucchini fries with garlic aioli; “skilpadjies” – a South African favourite; and braised lamb arancini served with a homemade tomato chutney. The crisp fried calamari with parsley and caper aioli, as well as the tasty Salsiccia meatballs served in a marinara sauce are gauranteed to hit the spot.

Sangiovese with pepperonata

The Terra del Capo tasting room and antipasto bar are open Tuesdays to Sundays 10am to 4:30pm and booking is essential. For more information and reservations contact [email protected] or call 021 874 9041.
