Valentine’s weekend plans sorted with Galileo Open Air Cinema

THE Galileo Open Air Cinema will be spreading the love from Kirstenbosch right through to Stellenbosch with a host of romantic movies being screened all over Cape Town. Better yet, for this 10th season of movie magic, the Valentine’s spoils will extend beyond just one day of celebrating. Offering the perfect setting for a little added romance and a great way to spend an evening outdoors and under the stars, The Galileo will be screening some all-time Valentine’s favourites such as Love Actually, The Proposal and The Notebook leading up to the celebratory weekend from 10-13 February, 2022.

On Valentine’s Day itself, a special screening comes to the exquisite Nooitgedacht Wine Estate near Stellenbosch, allowing you to celebrate this day of love in style. A true rom com classic, Notting Hill, will grace the big screen and is bound to bring out the romantic in you. Tickets include your entry, backrest, sweet treat and welcome drink, as well as live entertainment to set the mood.

Relax on the luscious lawns, enjoying a shared toast together, or indulge in the artisanal goodness available on-site and thanks to the local mini-market vendors. Steal a smooch and cuddle up closely to enjoy a magical sunset that signals the start of the movie shortly after.

Whether you’re trying to impress a new crush or show appreciation to your long-term partner, the Galileo Valentine’s Day experience is bound to send Cupid’s arrows your way. Tickets are limited, so booking in advance is essential to avoid disappointment.
