The Cellars-Hohenort Hotel & Spa in Constantia has unveiled the new design and interiors of its restaurant and public spaces, following an extensive re-design of The Conservatory restaurant and terrace, as well as the lounge and bar area.

The hotel’s public areas have been transformed into welcoming, modern spaces that pay homage to its magnificent gardens and ancient camphor trees. HotCocoa Interiors & Design has created a richly layered, and refreshingly whimsical new look that is reflective of the rich heritage of this iconic hotel and restaurant. The key design focus was to create a relaxed, indoor oasis by opening the interleading spaces to the lush gardens; with floor-to-ceiling views intrinsically linking guest dining and relaxation areas to nature.

CEO of The Liz McGrath Collection, Jacqui Elliott, says the upgrade of the interiors is set to take The Cellars-Hohenort Hotel & Spa to another level. “Moving with the times to complement the design of our guest bedrooms which are constantly being refreshed and upgraded, our grand old lady is stepping up with a contemporary new look. With its forest garden theme, The Conservatory restaurant is set to truly live up to its name as a tranquil, yet vibrant modern space to relax and enjoy world-class cuisine and beverages. It is a space that was designed to appeal to a sophisticated audience of locals and international travellers alike, and we are therefore very excited to open our doors and welcome guests to enjoy our five-star hospitality and service.”

Part of the The Liz McGrath Collection, The five-star Cellars-Hohenort Hotel & Spa is a member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World, featuring 51 elegant guest rooms and suites. All rooms boast breathtaking views of the hotel’s extraordinary gardens, while accommodation options include a two-bedroom villa, as well as the exclusive, three-bedroom Madiba Villa.
