FALL in love with Steenberg reds and delicious comfort food this winter at Bistro Sixteen82’s Red Wine Rendezvous on Thursday, July 18, 2019. The third Red Wine Rendezvous in the series at this popular Constantia eatery, it will feature a hearty three-course dinner prepared with love by chef Kerry Kilpin and accompanied by Steenberg’s fine red wine selection.
For starters, a creamy leek and potato soup served with crusty homemade bread and spicy hummus sets the tone for a nurturing winter food and wine experience. For the main course, chef Kerry has chosen her rich and hearty slow cooked pork belly served with a fennel and cauliflower risotto, sweet glazed carrots and pan fried vegetables. For dessert: peanut namelaka with coconut crunch, fresh lime, red chili syrup and spicy cocoa butter ice cream.
