TUCKED away in the leafy suburb of Wynberg, Palm House Boutique Hotel and Spa is one of Cape Town’s best-kept secrets. This year the team has curated a number of summer experiences.
One of the highlights is the Festive Bingo Night on 20 December, where a classic game gets a glamorous twist. Tickets cost R950, which includes entry, a bingo card and a welcome drink as well as the chance to win prizes while enjoying food and drinks throughout the night.
After 5 on the Lawns takes place every Tuesday and Saturday. It’s a laid-back evening where handcrafted cocktails meet sunset views and small plates, with guest mixologists ensuring every night feels different (on Tuesdays), and winemakers in residence on Saturdays.
Palm House has also introduced a picnic experience for lazy afternoons in the gardens. Guests can choose between Harvest, Coastal, Botanical (vegan), or a children’s picnic basket, each filled with fresh seasonal ingredients and accompanied by a bottle of Palm House wine for adults.
