Lunch or tea at Palm House on Easter Sunday? Your call

SITUATED in the leafy, historic suburb of Upper Wynberg, just a short drive from the Constantia winelands and the False Bay coastline, Palm House Boutique Hotel & Spa offers the perfect setting for a tranquil and indulgent Easter celebration.

Surrounded by lush gardens and shaded terraces, Palm Terrace at Palm House is the ideal spot for a long, lingering lunch. This Easter Sunday, guests are invited to enjoy a spectacular four-course lunch, created by chef Gregory Henderson. Highlights include Easter-inspired mains such as slow-roasted Karoo lamb shoulder and baked linefish, accompanied by a welcome cocktail. At R625 per person, lunch is served between 12.30pm and 3pm, either on the patio or inside the conservatory-style terrace.

For those with a sweet tooth and a taste for tradition, the hotel’s signature de Tafel Restaurant will host a fireside Easter Afternoon Tea Party. Guests can expect a decadent array of both savoury and sweet delights, from tea-smoked snoek croquettes and quail egg tartlets, to a stunning Elgin apple mille-feuille and a masala-spiced carrot and naartjie chiffon cake. Afternoon Tea is R695 per person and also served from 12.30pm to 3pm.

Whether you’re seeking a serene escape or a sumptuous culinary experience, Palm House promises a delightful Easter celebration with a touch of Cape Town charm.
