by Press Release 28 Jun 2019

ON Friday, July 26, Cape Town’s urban oasis – 15 On Orange Hotel, Autograph Collection – will transform into a little slice of Italy.

The taste tour begins at 7pm in Saronno, Italy, birthplace of Amaretto. Disaronno welcome cocktails will be served upon arrival (infused with a choice of San Pellegrino flavoured soda waters, Fitch & Leedes or Happy Culture Kombucha) or Chateau Del Rei sparkling wine.  While sipping on something sensational guests can sit back and enjoy the sounds of celebrated Italian musician Francesca Biancoli performing live.

From Seranno to the island of Capri; the Mediterranean starter antipasta sharing platters will comprise olives, salami, Parma ham, chorizo, marinated artichokes, cream cheese stuffed peppadews, Brie, sundried tomato tapenade, pesto cream cheese, breadsticks, ciabatta and lavash, served with the complimentary accompaniment of Ayama Vermentino (white wine varietal originating from Sardinia).

Tuscany is the focus of the main course: roast beef sirloin tagliata topped with rucola (rocket), Grana Padano, roasted heirloom tomato, crispy baby potatoes; or baked butternut squash and chickpea falafels (veggie option), ras el hanout, kale and braised lentils.

A rich and creamy Affogato panna cotta with coffee jelly, amaretti biscuit and dark chocolate ganache served for dessert, inspired by Piedmont at the foot of the Alps.

Book through Quicket. Seating is limited and bookings in advance is essential. For R395. guests will receive a three-course dinner, complimentary welcome drinks, a glass of Ayama Vermentino and live music. For more information, email info@redcarpetconcepts.co.za or call 081 462 5076.
