Bond with dad over a man-sized meal at Nederburg’s The Manor

GIVEN the choice between designer socks, aftershave or spending time with you, what do you think your dad would choose? No contest, right? So, give him the gift of your time and attention and bond over a laid-back country breakfast or lunch at Nederburg’s The Manor restaurant in Paarl on Father’s Day, this Sunday, June 19.

And if it’s not your dad, then celebrate a meaningful mentor in your life the same way. If he’s been just as significant in your life, now’s the time to show him. If your guest of honour would delight in a family occasion, bring everyone along. The Manor has a selection of children’s menu options (for under 12s) and activities to keep them happy and looked after, while you chat and connect.

For the children

The restaurant is offering a special Dad’s Day man-sized menu for breakfast/brunch: a full-on cooked farm breakfast, featuring sausage and eggs with a Middle Eastern twist and flapjacks. And yes, vegetarian options are available. For just R165 a head, sparkling wine and orange juice and coffee are included.

If it’s lunch you’re after, join The Manor’s table family-style for a traditional Sunday lunch with lamb shanks as the star of the show, served with a host of veggies (crispy garlic potatoes, anyone?) and salad. Vegetarians can be accommodated on request when booking.  Keep space for the pampoenkoekies dessert. Lunch is R295 a head, and a delicious selection of Nederburg wines will be available to purchase.

Please note, dishes from The Manor’s à la carte menu will not be available. Breakfast/brunch will be served from 8.30am until 11am, and lunch between 12pm and 3.30pm.  Booking and pre-payment of a deposit is required. Call 021 877 5155 or email [email protected] to make you reservation.
