Banhoek Chilli Oil – the perfect partner for your Braai Day plans

FOR this upcoming Braai Day, whether you’re a meat eater, vegetarian or follow Halaal and Kosher diets, Banhoek Chilli Oil plans to spice up your menu.

Heritage Day has earned its highlighted mark on our calendars for so many reasons; another excuse to celebrate South Africa’s rainbow nation and its many cultures in a meaningful way. Braai Day, as it has colloquially become known, is an initiative that was started by the media and Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu to unite all South Africans around a braai, celebrating and sharing together.

All fellow foodies are invited to get creative this 24th of September, as fires are lit around the country. Get creative with your #Braaiday recipes, family favourites and top tips and stand a chance to win one of four hampers, dubbed as the braai essentials. Share the fun on social media using #BCOBraai and tag @BanhoekChilliOil  to stand a chance to win one of four product hampers, including Banhoek Chilli Oil, Zero Waste briquettes, Funky Ouma Braai Salt and a Jan Harmsgat Pinotage 2022.

This year, the BCO team continues to innovate within its taste kitchen and beyond, as it proudly launches Zero Waste Briquettes. Produced entirely from chilli waste, these specially made charcoal briquettes give a great aroma when lighting the fire and are just another step in BCO’s eco-conscious approach and commitment to sustainable farming.

Available at the Banhoek Chilli Oil factory shop and family-friendly taste kitchen in the beautiful Banhoek Valley, be sure to pop past for fuss-free, delicious dishes, created with Banhoek Chilli Oil as the star of the show. There’s also an array of award-winning local wines available best enjoyed out on the sun-drenched deck, access to the renowned trails of the area, as well as a child-friendly play area. The kitchen is open from 9am – 4pm on Wednesdays, and 9am – 8pm Thursdays to Sundays with walk-ins welcome and no booking necessary.

Banhoek Chilli Oil is now available in hundreds of choice partner eateries nationwide, Pick n Pay and Food Lovers stores nationwide, as well as Checkers in the Western Cape. More info here.
