TAKE advantage of the last bit of winter at Janse & Co as the stylish inner-city restaurant will continue to run its popular winter special – a five–course lunch or dinner experience for R450 a person until the end of August.
The menu is meticulously sourced and completely ingredient driven. Every dish uses three to four key seasonal ingredients with an abundance of fruits, vegetables and herbs, to give the meal a certain lightness. Combining the new and the traditional, a simplistic and layered plating approach matches the flavour balance of each dish.
The restaurant has two separate dining areas and the interior has been designed around a minimalist neutral charcoal palette, right down to the crockery and cutlery. As you enter, you are greeted by a stunning floral street art mural which leads to a large harvest table that can seat 20 guests, opposite a display of house-made charcuterie and wine fridges. The main part of the restaurant has a view into the two kitchens with a cosy fire place nestled in the middle. The large outside courtyard flanks the back of the restaurant and is ideal for al fresco dining.
Janse and Co is an ideal option for those wanting a unique and authentic casual fine dining experience that combines beautiful surroundings, an innovative ingredient-led menu, and excellent service.
