THE Dan Really Likes Wine (DRLW) show has expanded its broadcast offering with an upgraded weekly half-hour pre-recorded show. The change sees the show move from the single interview format, into a magazine show that features a range of content each week. In addition to two live episodes broadcast every Monday and Thursday, the show’s pre-recorded episode each Tuesday will offer a wider range of wine content, in keeping with the growth of the show.

“Over the last five years since Dan Really Likes Wine was launched, we’ve seen incredible growth in both the viewership of the show and the volume of incredible content coming from the broader wine and hospitality industry,” explains Dan Nicholl, founder and presenter of DRLW. “We want to be able to showcase all the different angles of wine – from winemakers and farms, to restaurants, hotels and personalities.”

As of February, the DRLW show will highlight two stories a week showcasing wine, the people that make it, and the places to find it, plus a different host venue each week.

Each month, the show will also offer South African-based viewers the opportunity to enter a fantastic competition. February’s prize a weekend away at Bartinney in Stellenbosch, and a case of the estate’s Platter Five-Star Hourglass chardonnay.

“This weekly show will allow us to touch on all wine-related points and provide a broader platform to support the local industry, and to engage with our growing audience with a genuine interest in wine,” Dan concludes.
