WRITTEN by Pierre Malherbe and directed by Adrian Collins, Stacey’s Bay is an off kilter comedy drama play that examines the increasingly strange relationship between two neighbours in the same residential complex. Stacey (Berenice Barbier) is a school teacher, who starts renting her parking bay to Jason (Pierre Malherbe), who works in advertising.
What starts out as a cordial and mutually beneficial arrangement soon deteriorates, as they both navigate the harsh realities of sectional title living and descend into a world of obsession, fantasy, rock star idolatry, and body corporate meetings.
