Riebeek Valley celebrates the love of art with 10th Solo Studios

FROM 23–25 October 2026, the Riebeek Valley will once again become a destination for art lovers, collectors and curious visitors as Solo Studios X – 10th Anniversary brings together an exceptional group of artists, galleries and creative spaces for a weekend of intimate art encounters.

Now in its 10th year, Solo Studios has grown into one of South Africa’s distinctive art experiences, inviting visitors to step beyond the traditional gallery setting and encounter artists and their work in studios, galleries, homes, gardens, wine cellars and other unexpected spaces throughout the Riebeek Valley.

The 2026 edition features 60+ artists across approximately 40 studio, gallery and sculpture-garden spaces, connected through five Art Loops that take visitors through Riebeek Kasteel and Riebeek West. The format encourages visitors to explore at their own pace, discovering established and emerging artists while experiencing the unique character of the Swartland.

Alongside the exhibitions and studio visits, the programme includes artist talks, guided walkabouts, workshops, music, long tables and special events, creating opportunities to engage with the people, stories and ideas behind the work.

The 10th anniversary edition also introduces a special Solo Studios Collectors Box, bringing together 10 artists and 10 original linocut prints in a strictly limited edition of just 10 boxes. Created to mark a decade of Solo Studios, the collection celebrates the artists and creative relationships that have helped shape the event over the years.

The weekend begins with the official opening on Thursday, 22 October, followed by three days of exhibitions, studio visits and events. Visitors can explore the Art Loops, meet artists in their working environments, discover new work and experience the Riebeek Valley through an art-focused weekend that combines creativity, hospitality, food, wine and community.

Solo Studios remains committed to creating meaningful encounters between artists and audiences, offering a more personal way to experience contemporary art while celebrating the creative energy of the Riebeek Valley. For more information, click here.
