GET on top of the world with StreetSmart with a sparkling high tea on Table Mountain, one of the world’s most iconic landmarks, on Thursday, February 27.
Hosted by Melanie Burke, chairperson of StreetSmart SA, which celebrates its 15thanniversary this year, all proceeds go towards the upliftment of street children and those at risk of living on the streets. Enjoy panoramic views and decadent delights while making a difference to the lives of these children.
After arriving by cable car, guests will be treated to a glass of Méthode Cap Classique and mouth-watering sweet and savoury eats. Adding to this extraordinary day, one lucky guest can win a diamond worth R10 000 donated by The Diamond Works.
StreetSmart SA is an organisation dedicated towards helping vulnerable children rebuild their lives from public donations by partnering with a network of restaurants, accommodation establishments and wine tasting venues in the Western Cape, Garden Route and Gauteng. Funds are raised by voluntary R5 donations added to patrons’ bills. Every year StreetSmart disburses more than R1 million to organisations working with vulnerable children.
“Supporting StreetSmart while eating out, tasting wine or staying at one of our partner establishments, is a small act of kindness that empowers our most vulnerable children through education, skills training and family reunification,” says Burke.
