Three-course vegan Christmas menu at Radisson RED


South Africa’s vegan community is constantly growing and is at an “all-time high” ranking us in the top 30 in the world; it is a no-brainer that Radisson RED V&A Waterfront Cape Town will again host its renowned Yes Ve-Gan three-course Christmas Day menu.

This experience takes people on a journey of culinary delights, festively themed, and served with a lekker, local twist. The lunch takes place on 25 December 2022 at 12pm.

Executive chef Andre Hill has designed the menu to hero locally sourced ingredients. “My thinking behind the menu was to first find balance and make sure each ingredient was elevated and let each dish speak for themselves. Most importantly, looking at seasonality and making sure it tied into the Christmas look and feel,” he said.

The menu features a selection of tinsel treats, followed by:

  • Creamy coconut & cauliflower curry, pickled tomato
  • Pumpkin crown steaks, walnut pesto & white miso caramel
  • Earth pulse-barley risotto, roasted red pepper & chickpea
  • Charred broccoli spears, sultana purée, crisp Brussels sprouts
  • Sweet sticky tofu, wild garlic oil, shaved white radish
  • Cherry and apple crumble topped with coffee drizzle
