Cowfish Cape Town is the home of The Boss Burger

FEW things are more satisfying than smashing a seriously well-crafted burger made with a superb quality meat patty, the best basting plus all the trimmings, toppings – and hand cut chips of course.

And when it comes to burgers – like its world class steak and sushi, Cowfish knows its stuff. May 28 is International Burger Day and Cowfish Cape Town will be celebrating in style all month, with a special offer for both lunch and dinner on any day of the week: The Boss Burger and a 330ml Heineken Draught for R149. With 15 gourmet burgers on the menu, guests are guaranteed of one that meets their cravings head on.

The Boss Burger features 160g of A grade Kalahari beef, dusted with Cowfish’s signature grill spice, basted with its Asian BBQ sauce then topped with aged gouda, rashers of bacon, Cowfish’s own mayo, house teriyaki sauce and avocado – a behemoth of a burger.

A definitive social dining destination in Joburg, well-loved for its infectious buzz, the family-founded brand opened its doors in Cape Town in November 2023. Since then, Cowfish in Bree Street has been wowing locals and visitors alike with its urban vibe, contemporary interiors and hallmark menu of burgers and Asian-tinged steaks plus sushi the city has never seen before.

Nick Triandafillou, son of Cowfish founder Peter, says “my Dad was obsessive about building a reputation on providing the best – from the beef we source to all our own developed and house made sauces, plus brilliant flavour combinations that have become quintessentially Cowfish. Continuing his legacy and sharing it with Capetonians is a joy and this International Burger Day we really plan to share the love.”
